Are you a bold, curious, and creative soul ready to explore the future of design, storytelling, and tech?

We're calling 10 African creatives to join the Light Design Lab—a 3-month remote creative incubator, launching Aug 2026.

The Light Design Lab is an educational platform and creative ecosystem created to nurture the next generation of design-forward, tech-savvy African creatives. Through incubators, learning experiences,mentorship, research, and creative collaboration, the Lab explores the intersection of creativity, design, storytelling, technology, culture, and social impact. The incubator programme combines storytelling, branding, creativity, technology, AI, research, and social impact to help participants build relevant skills for the future. Participants work on real-world projects, collaborate with creatives across Africa, engage with industry mentors, and gain hands-on experience through meaningful assignments. The Lab is designed not only to teach skills, but to develop creative thinkers, problem-solvers, innovators, and future leaders.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Create powerful AI-assisted content for media, brands, and social platforms
Learn and experiment with leading AI tools for graphics, video, sound, research, and storytelling
Collaborate with creatives from different countries and disciplines across Africa
Participate in workshops, challenges, assignments, and collaborative projects
Learn storytelling frameworks for building impactful brands, products, and experiences
Explore how to train, direct, and creatively collaborate with AI tools for design and innovation
Conduct research into African creativity, design history, culture, and emerging trends
Contribute to real-world projects within the Light Design Lab ecosystem
Build a professional portfolio showcasing your work throughout the programme
